Since all feather quills are also different in size, the wire-wrapped coils will also vary a little in thickness. The feather lengths (including the earhooks) that are provided are close approximate ranges. Feathers may vary a little shorter or longer than the given lengths and there will be minor imperfections in each of them, since they are a product of nature. Please Note: Arte Designs feathers are never plucked off of birds. That would be a very cruel thing to do. There is no need to ever harm a bird to get their feathers. Birds naturally shed or molt their feathers to replace old or damaged ones. The feathers are then collected, then cleaned and disinfected before I match them up as close as possible and make them into jewelry. I own a Yellow-naped Amazon Parrot and love birds. I would never harm them or profit from someone else harming them.
